Your new employer is seeking a hands‑on Project Manager with proven experience in AC/ventilation projects (AC preferred) who can join the Camden office and lead the full lifecycle of HVAC/AC projects from planning through delivery. You'll manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality and teams, ensuring the systems are specified, installed and handed over to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage HVAC / AC & ventilation projects (commercial / industrial) from initiation through close‑out, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover.
 
- Ensure strong knowledge and understanding of AC systems (preferred), with ventilation experience essential.
 
- Coordinate and monitor subcontractors, suppliers, internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget and to quality.
 
- Act as the primary contact in the Camden office for designated projects – reporting progress and escalations to senior management.
 
- Control commercial performance: budgets, cost to complete, change orders, risk registers, margin protection.
 
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, building regulations, relevant standards and company processes.
 
- Prepare and present regular project status reports (time, cost, quality, risk) to stakeholders.
 
- Ensure handover documentation: as‑built drawings, O&M manuals, commissioning reports, defect lists and client training as required.
 
- Travel to sites as required (London / region) to monitor installation, QA checks, commissioning and snagging.
 
- Foster strong client relationships; represent the company professionally on site and in meetings.
 
Candidate Profile – Essential & Preferred
Essential
- Strong experience managing HVAC, ventilation and air‑conditioning systems projects (AC preferred) – ideally in commercial or industrial environments.
 
- Demonstrable understanding of AC system design, installation, commissioning and performance.
 
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, ensuring required standards of quality.
 
- Excellent project management skills: planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management.
 
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) – able to engage with clients, subcontractors, internal teams and senior management.
 
- Strong organisational and leadership ability – able to lead teams, handle multiple streams, escalates appropriately and deliver results.
 
- Based in or near London / within commutable distance to Camden (NW1 0AG).
 
- Full UK driving licence (desirable if site travel required).
 
- Commitment to safety, compliance and quality.
 
Preferred
- Formal qualification in construction, HVAC engineering, mechanical engineering or related field.
 
- Experience with AC system projects specifically (as opposed to generic ventilation only).
 
- Experience in a similar project manager role within HVAC / M&E industry.
 
- Familiarity with project management software and tools (planning spreadsheets, cost tracking, change control).
 
- Understanding of building services regulations, HVAC controls, commissioning and handover procedures.
