gap construction are seeking an experienced and capable Project Manager to take overall responsibility for the delivery of a key refurbishment and fit out project in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional to manage projects from pre start through to completion, ensuring delivery is safe, on programme, and to the highest standards.

Reporting into senior management, you will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, acting as the main point of contact for the client while coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and consultants.

Performance Objectives
  • Take full responsibility for the successful delivery of refurbishment and fit out projects.
  • Manage programme, budget, quality, and health and safety performance.
  • Coordinate site management teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
  • Act as the main client facing representative, providing clear and regular progress updates.
  • Oversee procurement, subcontractor packages, and project reporting.
  • Chair progress meetings and ensure all project documentation is accurately maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Drive high standards of workmanship and ensure smooth and snag free handovers.
Person Specification
  • Proven experience working as a Project Manager, ideally on refurbishment and fit out projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, and commercial control.
  • Demonstrable ability to manage projects from start to finish.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Confident managing multiple stakeholders and client relationships.
  • SMSTS, CSCS (Black or White card), and First Aid at Work essential.
  • IT literate with experience using project management and reporting software.
Desirable
  • Experience delivering projects in central London environments.
  • Background working within design and build contracts.
  • Construction related qualification or technical background.
