Job description

JOB PURPOSE

DEPT® is a Growth Invention company built to help the world's most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, our 4,000+ specialists deliver growth invention services across Brand & Media, Experience, Commerce, CRM, and Technology & Data. We're 50|50 tech and marketing, partner-led, and first to move. Clients include Google, Lufthansa, Meta, eBay, and OpenAI. We have been certified B Corp and Climate Neutral since 2021.

We're looking for a Project Manager to join one of our most exciting and fast-scaling retained accounts. You'll sit within one of four specialist pods, each focused on developing and testing BAU creative assets for distinct audiences. The work spans ongoing templates, design, copy and motion exploration, B2B sprints, quarterly regional productions, fast-turnaround shoot and lower-lift production, and a core assets library.

Working directly into the Programme Director, you'll own the day-to-day delivery of projects within your pod - keeping work moving, timelines tight, and the right information flowing upward into wider programme planning. This is a hands‑on delivery role in a team that is scaling fast, and you'll need to hit the ground running.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Own day‑to‑day project delivery within your pod - managing timings, priorities and workflows across creative, design, motion and production workstreams.
  • Build and maintain project plans, scopes of work, and delivery trackers that give clear visibility of where everything sits at any given time.
  • Act as the central coordination point between creative, design, production and strategy teams within the pod - keeping work connected and moving.
  • Filter relevant updates, risks and dependencies upward into programme‑level planning, ensuring the Programme Director always has an accurate picture of pod health.
  • Manage fast‑turnaround productions and BAU sprints efficiently - comfortable switching between longer‑range planning and rapid reactive delivery.
  • Identify and resolve day‑to‑day blockers quickly, escalating only what genuinely needs senior attention.
  • Support resourcing and capacity planning within the pod, flagging upcoming pressure points before they become problems.
  • Champion quality and consistency across pod outputs - ensuring assets are delivered to brief, on time, and to the right standard before they leave the team.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of ways of working within the pod, helping to establish clear, repeatable processes as the team scales.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Project management experience within a creative, content or production‑led agency environment - comfortable managing BAU and campaign work simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of creative and design production workflows, including motion, from brief through to delivery.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail - able to manage multiple workstreams without losing grip on the detail.
  • A proactive, solutions‑first mindset - you spot problems early and fix them before they escalate
  • Clear, confident communicator - able to keep a busy team aligned and informed without creating unnecessary process overhead.
  • Comfortable working at pace in a scaling environment where not everything is fully defined yet.
  • Experience using project management tools (e.g. Asana) and confident building trackers and timing plans that people actually use.
WE OFFER
  • A flexible, hybrid working policy
  • The choice of medical healthcare providers (Bupa or Medicash)
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday off each year
  • Company pension scheme
  • EAP scheme
  • Ride to work scheme
  • Enhanced family friendly policies
  • Buddy Program: You will be paired with a 'Buddy' to help you through your first weeks at DEPT®
  • A reputation for doing good. DEPT® has been a Certified B Corp® since 2021 and named 'Agency of the Year' at both The Lovies and The Webby Awards
  • Awesome clients. Whether big or small, local or global — at DEPT® you'll get the opportunity to work with clients of all sizes and across all industries. And we celebrate all of our successes together!
  • The opportunity for possibility. We want to enable you to do what you do best and help you develop your skills further with training, development and certifications
  • Global annual DEPT® Cares Month in which employees come together and donate their skills to support local charities
WHY DEPT®?

We are a Growth Invention company built to help the world's most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, we create what is next by pioneering ideas, acting fast, and moving further because standing still just is not in our DNA.

We are drawn to people who stay curious, move with intent, and never stop inventing. Our culture runs on three values: better together, relentlessly curious, and get sh*t done. It is how we work, how we grow, and how we make things that matter.

At DEPT®, you will find the freedom to explore, the space to collaborate, and the trust to make a real impact for our clients, for each other, and for the world we are helping to build.

DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION

At DEPT®, we take pride in creating an inclusive workplace where everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive. We actively seek to recruit, develop, nurture, and retain talented individuals from diverse backgrounds, with varying skills and perspectives.

Not sure you meet all qualifications? Apply, and let us decide. Research shows that women and members of underrepresented groups tend not to apply for jobs when they think they may not meet every requirement, when in fact they do. We believe in giving everyone a fair chance to shine.

We also encourage you to reach out to us and discuss any reasonable adjustments we can make to support you throughout the recruitment process and your time with us.
