Project Manager - Water Infrastructure
Farnborough, Hampshire | Contract | Up to £475 per day | Outside IR35 (Subject to Determination) | 12 Months+
A genuine opportunity. Not just another contract.
A major Tier 1 contractor is scaling up its delivery team to meet the demands of a well-funded, long-running programme. This a substantive Project Manager position on a framework that has real momentum, strong leadership, and the pipeline to keep the right person engaged well beyond the initial term.
You will take full ownership of project delivery:
The works span treatment and network infrastructure across the region, with varying scale and complexity, and you will be expected to lead from the front on all of them.
Your day-to-day will cover the full project lifecycle, from early engagement and planning through construction, commissioning, and handover. You will chair progress meetings, manage NEC contract obligations, oversee compensation events and early warnings. Work closely with the commercial team to monitor project costs, manage change and ensure the programme and commercial position remain aligned. There will be multiple stakeholders to manage and multiple packages running concurrently, so strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise under pressure are essential.
A proven background delivering civil engineering or water infrastructure projects at Project Manager level, with a track record of bringing schemes in safely, on programme, and within budget. NEC contract experience is non-negotiable, you will need to be comfortable administering the contract, not just aware of it. Water sector experience is strongly preferred, whether that is treatment works, pipework, pumping stations, or network infrastructure. SMSTS, a Black or Gold CSCS Card, and EUSR Water Hygiene are all required before mobilisation.
Up to £475 per day, outside IR35 subject to determination. Initial 12-month contract with genuine potential for extension as the programme continues to grow.
