Job description

Location: UK - North Lincolnshire, all of Yorkshire and the North East

Division: Power

Reports to: Senior Project Manager

Circet UK are looking for a Project Manager to join our Power division.

This role requires strong technical expertise and proven experience in managing overhead power line construction and maintenance projects up to and including 132kV. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, including overhead line crews, tower painting teams, and civil works teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery: Drive and manage projects to meet or exceed KPI targets, ensuring technical compliance and quality standards.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide clear direction and technical guidance to project teams, including subcontractors.
  • Compliance: Ensure full adherence to CDM regulations, Streetworks legislation, and all statutory requirements. Resource Planning: Determine and allocate resources for all phases of the project, including technical specialists.
  • Performance Management: Monitor productivity, assign roles, and ensure tasks are completed according to specifications and technical requirements.
  • Commercial Oversight: Take ownership of financial aspects of the project, preventing cost overruns and identifying opportunities for efficiency.
  • Risk Management: Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Safety & Quality: Enforce company safety policies and ensure all works meet HSEQ standards.
  • Client Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing technical updates and solutions.
  • Innovation: Recommend improvements in processes, technology, and methods to enhance project delivery.
Knowledge & Skills Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding and experience of overhead line construction and maintenance up to 132kV.
  • Qualifications: CDM trained; IOSH/NEBOSH desirable. National Grid or DNO Authorisations (e.g., Competent Person / Senior Authorised Person)
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of HSEQ regulations and UK power industry standards.
  • Leadership: Excellent communication and team management skills.
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in the power sector, ideally with
