The Role

As a Project Manager, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary and will be responsible for the delivery of high‑value projects within our Platform Design Life Support team, helping to shape the future of ships and submarines by delivering outstanding maritime services globally. In this role you will play a crucial role in supporting the front line of the UK’s national security, working to help protect the nation. Delivering complex projects to meet customers requirements utilising Strategic Maritime Facilities and Capabilities.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Development and maintenance of positive engagement with project customers, partners and suppliers
• Operating in a Safe & Secure manner, embedding a culture in line with the QinetiQ values and reporting progress on all accountabilities to Programme / Portfolio Manager
• Delivery of the project outputs, to agreed baseline
• Ensuring project members operate in line with the Operating Framework & functional competency management requirements
• Resolving conflicts within the project and collaborating across QinetiQ
• Maintenance of forecasts for sales and delivery which reflects the up‑to‑date expectations for the work

Essential Experience Of The Project Manager

• Demonstrable capability to International Project Management Association Level C
• Experience gained in an engineering or defence‑based industry and successfully delivering complex projects
• Experience delivering projects to 3 different customers
• A strong understanding of Maritime, Aerospace, Rail

• A project management qualification or certification

This role is 37 hours per week based at Haslar, Gosport. Hybrid working patterns are available.
