Project Manager – Glasgow

£50 per hour - inside IR35

Are you an experienced Project Manager who has experience working on heavy engineering projects? Are you available for a contract to start before the Christmas period? If so, read on…

The Project Manager will ensure compliance with technical, regulatory, commercial and contractual obligations. They will also manage risk and change, as well as coordinate multidisciplinary teams (such as Engineering, Fabrication, Supply chain, Quality, Commissioning).

Essential skillset
  • 5+ years experience as a Project Management within a heavy engineering industry such as shipbuilding, marine engineering or major fabrication.
  • Proven experience in developing a detailed project plan (scope, schedule, budget, resources) and ensure alignment with business strategy and stakeholder expectations.
  • Experience in managing variances and implementing corrective actions to keep the project on track.
  • Ensure deliverables meet technical, regulatory and quality standards (ship-building / marine engineering context).
  • Proven experience in negotiating change control and contract amendments with customers.
  • Must have experience in managing a multidisciplinary project team (engineering, procurement, Operations, commissioning, QA / QC).
