Job summary

A leading project management firm in the UK is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager. You will oversee site supervision and manage electrical works for multi-utility projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of DNO/IDNO networks and a proven track record in programme management. This is a hybrid role based in Southampton.

Qualifications

  • Background in ICP or DNO experience essential.
  • Proven track record in multi-utility projects.
  • Authorisations from DNO preferred.

Electrical Project Manager

Location

Southampton (Hybrid - office-based with site visits)

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee site supervision and planning for multi-utility projects.
  • Manage HV/LV electrical works, including 11kV works and substation replacements.
  • Ability to handle up to v33kV installation, programme management, and commissioning.
  • Coordinate private customer HV installations, DNO/IDNO customer connections, and LV live works.
  • Deliver projects involving Street furniture connections, EV installations, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and solar connections.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and DNO/IDNO requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery.
What We're Looking For
  • Background: ICP or DNO experience essential.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of DNO/IDNO networks and electrical infrastructure.
  • Authorisations: Current or previous DNO authorisations preferred.
  • Location: Ideally based in Hampshire with flexibility for site visits.
  • Experience: Proven track record in programme management, commissioning, and multi-utility projects.
