Job Overview

FM Conway is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our successful Structures division. You will be working on an exciting project expanding our Aggregate and Asphalt division's portfolio and building our eighth Asphalt Plant in Wellingborough. As a Project Manager you'll be providing support to the contracts team, putting together PQQs and advising on buildability, health and safety documentation and preparation of the works programme. This is a 12-18 month fixed‑term contract, based full‑time at our Wellingborough site.

Responsibilities
  • Providing up‑to‑date budget and programming information at all project key stages
  • Managing, coordinating, reviewing and ensuring buildability of designs
  • Ensuring that the project is set up correctly with the appropriate resources allocated for the works (i.e. plant, labour, materials and subcontractors) and ensuring works are maintained in accordance with the Structures Works package
  • Managing and coordinating with the project team to ensure all relevant applications, permits and approvals are in place and maintained throughout the work duration
  • Reviewing and ensuring compliance with subcontractor pre‑start meetings, minutes and documentation prior to commencement on site
  • Drafting, coordinating and reviewing subcontract contract documents with the project Quantity Surveyor and internal commercial/contract team
Qualifications
  • Driven and skilled Project Manager with proven expertise in successfully delivering large‑scale civil engineering, mechanical, and industrial/plant projects
  • Exceptional skills in resource planning, cost and value management, stakeholder engagement, and design management
  • Hold a degree‑level qualification or equivalent, such as NVQ Level 6, HNC or HND in a construction‑related field
  • A full UK driving licence
