Project Manager – Power Station Design

We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Project Manager, to be involved in an industry‑leading, cutting‑edge design project for a new type of power station. This role is part of the GPD delivery team, reporting to a Senior Project Manager, and will provide project management support to a dedicated project or programme of work. The projects will have a strong engineering, procurement, construction and/or regulatory focus, in relation to the development of a new nuclear power station. You will manage a specific project(s) and provide support to the Senior Project Manager. The role will require a high level of project and programme management experience.

Key Results and Outcomes
  • Ensuring on‑time and on‑budget project delivery of your own projects.
  • Keeping the project plans up to date in collaboration with Project Planners.
  • Managing the regular update of financial forecasts with support from Cost Engineers.
  • Working with key internal stakeholders to understand performance and status of the key deliverables.
  • Reporting performance and escalating issues to the Senior Project Manager.
  • Creating a positive and productive work environment both within the project team and across other business functions.
  • Documenting lessons learned and applying these in future work.
  • Reviewing and managing project risks and providing actionable mitigations.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to the organisation’s processes and ways of working.
  • Ensuring compliance with project management processes and procedures.
  • Supporting meetings with external stakeholders as required.

Pay And Benefits

We anticipate paying a salary of £48,000 – £62,500 DOE plus:

  • Bonus – Performance‑related target opportunity 12.5%
  • Benefits Allowance – £2,200 per annum, enabling you to create a bespoke package
  • Pension – 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
  • Holidays – 28 days holiday plus public holidays, with the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days.
  • Private Medical Insurance – BUPA single cover health care
  • Life Assurance – 6x pensionable pay
  • £250 one‑off payment for new starters for home office purchases
