Job summary

G2 Recruitment is supporting an international EPC by recruiting a Freelance Project Manager for an 80 MW Solar PV project in the East Midlands, United Kingdom.

You will lead delivery from early construction through commissioning and handover, coordinate civil, mechanical and electrical workstreams, manage subcontractors and ensure safe, compliant installation aligned with EPC requirements and project plans.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Electrical, Civil Eng., Construction Management or related discipline.
• Proven PM experience on utility-scale Solar PV or large renewable projects.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, EPC processes, HSE standards.

Responsibilities

G2 are supporting an international EPC in recruiting a Freelance Project Manager for an 80 MW Solar PV project in the East Midlands, United Kingdom.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the delivery of a utility‑scale Solar PV project from early construction through commissioning and handover.
• Coordinating civil, mechanical and electrical workstreams, ensuring alignment with design, project plans and EPC requirements.
• Managing subcontractors, ensuring safe, compliant and timely installation of all Solar PV components and infrastructure.
• Overseeing documentation, project KPIs, risk management, stakeholder communication and on‑site decision‑making.
• Ensuring all works comply with design drawings, HSE requirements, project specifications and contractual obligations.

Requirements to be considered:

• Qualification in Electrical, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager on utility‑scale Solar PV or large renewable energy construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, EPC processes, HSE standards and multi‑discipline project delivery.
• Strong communication and reporting skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Right to work in the UK.
