An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Environmental Services team for a project manager waste and streets. This is a 2 year fixed term to cover a secondment. The successful applicant will manage and plan the development of future waste collection and diversion strategies that will ensure the Council continues to meet the challenge of the government’s new waste strategy. They will work closely with service and operational managers to prepare waste collection and street cleaning work schedules. A positive approach together with the ability to adapt to a changing environment is essential. The role is very varied and therefore prioritising and managing your workload is essential. Good IT skills are a must. The post holder will require high level budgetary management and IT skills to enable them to manage complex projects. A current driving licence is also required as they will be required to carry out site visits and work away from their usual base at Willerby Depot.
