Job summary

GVR Solutions Ltd in Croydon is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead glazing and building envelope projects from handover through to completion. You will coordinate site teams, interpret drawings, manage stakeholders and ensure delivery on time and to budget.

The role requires strong knowledge of glazing systems, commercial fit-out experience, and a proven track record in construction project delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience in construction, glazing, architectural glass, or building envelope sectors.
• Strong technical knowledge of glazing systems, façade components, and partitioning systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BIM models.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate glazing work from pre-construction surveys through installation to handover.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to ensure design compliance.
• Liaise with clients, architects, main contractors, and suppliers.
• Attend site meetings and progress reviews.
• Manage subcontractors and specialist installers.
• Prepare cost estimates, purchase orders, and forecasts.
• Monitor costs and implement cost-control measures.
• Coordinate snagging, quality checks and project close-out.
• Provide regular reports to senior management and stakeholders.

GVR Solutions are working with a well‑established specialist glass partitioning contractor, delivering high‑quality glazing and partitioning solutions across commercial interiors, office fit‑outs and bespoke projects.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects from initial handover through to completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with experience within glass partitioning, glazing, commercial fit‑out, interiors or a related construction environment to join a growing specialist contractor and play a key role in the delivery of their projects.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager:

• Develop and implement project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate glazing work from pre‑construction surveys/orders through installation to handover.
• Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and clauses to ensure compliance with design requirements.
• Liaise with clients, architects, main contractors, and suppliers.
• Attend site meetings, pre‑start briefings, and progress reviews.
• Manage subcontractors and specialist installers.
• Prepare cost estimates, purchase orders, and commercial forecasts.
• Monitor project costs and implement cost‑control measures.
• Manage contractual changes, variation orders, and additional costs.
• Conduct inspections of glazing materials and workmanship.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate snagging, quality checks, and project close‑out.
• Maintain project documentation, including drawings, RFIs, risks, and changes.
• Provide weekly/monthly reports to senior management and stakeholders.

The Project Manager must have/be:

• Proven project management experience in construction, glazing, architectural glass, or building envelope sectors.
• Strong technical knowledge of glazing systems, façade components, and partitioning systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BIM models.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial awareness and budgeting capability.
• Competent in project management tools and Microsoft Office.
