G3 Systems Ltd is seeking a proactive Project Manager to deliver the WTB Programme from our Portland, Dorset offices with UK and European travel.

You will coordinate project activities, maintain schedules and milestones, manage risks, and report to the Programme Project Manager, contributing to a major international defence programme.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering qualification.

• Willingness to travel UK and overseas.

Responsibilities

• Manage project workstreams and deliverables per the PMP.
• Maintain programmes, milestones and Tier 2 delivery schedules using MS Project.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and delays, drive resolutions.
• Prepare reports and maintain project records.
• Coordinate meetings and stakeholder communications; ensure actions.
• Support financial reporting with the Project Accountant.
• Support risk mitigation and cross-team coordination.
• Champion Mission Zero safety and environmental responsibility.

Project Manager – WTB Programme

Location: Based at our offices in Portland, Dorset with UK & European Travel required

Salary: Starting from £50,000 dependent on experience

About the Role

G3 Systems Ltd is seeking a proactive, organised and delivery-focused Project Manager to support the delivery of our WTB Programme.

Working closely with the Programme Project Manager, you will take ownership of assigned project activities, coordinating schedules, deliverables, risks, reporting and stakeholder actions to keep the programme on track.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering professional with project management experience to take the next step in their career, gain greater responsibility and contribute to a major international defence programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage assigned project workstreams and deliverables in accordance with the Project Management Plan (PMP).
• Maintain project programmes, milestones and Tier 2 delivery schedules using Microsoft Project.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and delays, and drive timely resolution.
• Prepare project reports and maintain accurate documentation, action trackers and project records.
• Coordinate project meetings, manage stakeholder communications and ensure actions are completed.
• Work with the Project Accountant to support accurate financial reporting and cost monitoring.
• Support risk mitigation and effective coordination across project teams, customers and suppliers.
• Champion G3's Mission Zero commitment to safety and environmental responsibility.

The role requires UK and overseas travel, predominantly within Europe.

Qualifications & Experience

• Recognised engineering qualification.
• Recognised project management qualification.
• Experience in a project-based role, ideally within the defence, engineering or construction sectors.
• Strong planning, organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project.
• A proactive, self-starting approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and take ownership of deliverables.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the UK and overseas.
