Gleeds is a leading global property and construction consultancy, established in 1875 and proud to deliver award-winning projects worldwide. We are committed to sustainability and have a strong focus on the energy sector, including nuclear, solar, hydrogen and renewables.

The Energy team is expanding and we are looking to recruit a Project Manager to support the delivery of major, complex projects within the nuclear sector. This role focuses on driving successful project outcomes through coordination, stakeholder management, governance, risk management and delivery oversight.

Your day to day could involve:
  • Lead and coordinate the delivery of assigned workstreams or project packages, ensuring progress against agreed scope, programme, budget and quality requirements.
  • Act as a key point of contact between the client, contractors, consultants and internal project teams, developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and support the development of mitigation plans.
  • Manage project governance, including reporting cycles, meeting structures, action tracking and decision logs.
  • Support the management of change, ensuring impacts to scope, cost, programme, risk and resources are clearly understood and communicated.
  • Prepare and contribute to project reports, dashboards, briefings and progress updates for senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs to ensure project information is accurate, timely and aligned.
  • Support commercial and contractual processes, working closely with cost, planning and project controls colleagues.
  • Drive collaboration across teams to resolve blockers and maintain delivery momentum.
  • Ensure project documentation, records and governance outputs are maintained to the required standard.
  • Contribute to lessons learned, continuous improvement and best practice across the wider Energy team.
Who we're looking for:
  • Relevant experience in project management is required, with experience in nuclear or nuclear decommissioning desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with standard contract forms such as NEC, FIDIC and the Public Contract Regulations 2015 is beneficial, and strong personal and communication skills are equally important.
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical is also highly beneficial.
  • Ideally, candidates hold an HNC, HND or degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a similar discipline, though alternative backgrounds may be considered if suitable project management experience is demonstrated.
  • Professional qualifications and/or membership of APM, MICE, MIMechE, CIOB or another relevant chartered institute are desirable and will be supported if not already attained.
What we can offer you:
  • Clear opportunities to develop and grow your career through training and further qualifications.
  • Networking opportunities to grow your personal brand and understanding of the industry.
  • Generous holiday allowance and the option to purchase additional days through the holiday purchase scheme.
  • Highly competitive salary with the opportunity to increase through continuous reviews.
  • Employee Assistance Programme to support health and well-being.
  • Flexible working arrangements for a healthy work-life balance.
  • Volunteering opportunities to engage with the local community or charitable organisations.
  • Support from central teams and a company recognised as a gold standard investor in people.
