Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of a c.50MW solar farm project near Bristol UK. This role requires strong project management skills, technical expertise in solar energy, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to ensure the successful completion of the project on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Execution:Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets. Ensure all project milestones and deliverables are met.
• Team Leadership:Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Stakeholder Management:Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including project sponsor, regulatory bodies, and internal teams. Provide regular project updates and address any issues or concerns.
• Risk Management:Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Quality Assurance:Ensure all project activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
• Resource Management:Allocate and manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project efficiency.
• Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate project documentation and prepare detailed reports on project status, progress, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, within the utility scale renewable energy sector.
• Proven track record of successfully managing utility scale solar projects.
• Strong knowledge of solar energy systems, technologies, and industry standards & regulations including CDM Regulations 2015.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
