Job summary

Overview

We're looking for a dynamic Project Manager to join our Power & Energy team in either Coventry or Liverpool. In this role you will lead and manage successful delivery of a number of projects across a range of MTC Technology Themes and industry sectors. You will be a key contributor to MTC's mission of providing innovative manufacturing systems solutions that transform our industrial, government and regional clients, delivering a positive impact on society.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver projects, ensuring they stay on scope, cost and schedule.
• Manage any changes to project scope via the recognised Change Request process.
• Act as champion for BMS project management processes, tools and techniques.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities related to PM tools and processes.
• Ensure customer needs are clearly captured, understood and effectively built into project proposals.
• Work closely with resource owners and team leaders to optimise resource utilisation and maintain project quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of delivering multiple projects concurrently, with strong leadership in a busy project‑based engineering or professional services environment.
• Strong communicator able to articulate clearly at all levels of the organisation.
• Experience with Microsoft Project and Excel.
• Numerate with a strong focus on financial management.
• Knowledge of partially state‑funded projects is beneficial.
• Demonstrable knowledge of PMP and PMO principles.
• Self‑starter with a positive CAN‑DO approach, focused on solutions rather than problems.
• Organised yet flexible approach with the ability to influence and deliver through others.
• Security clearance required or willingness to obtain one.

Coventry or Liverpool – based in MTC's industry‑leading facilities.
