An established construction and refurbishment contractor in Essex is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a range of commercial projects, including refurbishments, strip‑out, fit‑out and general building works. This is a hands‑on role requiring a strong site presence, excellent client‑facing ability, and the confidence to manage projects from pre‑start to completion.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, commercially aware, and technically capable, with strong IT skills and the ability to work efficiently within a fast‑moving environment. A trade background or practical construction experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple commercial construction projects end‑to‑end, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to a high standard.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining professional, positive relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, site teams and suppliers; ensure clear communication and smooth project flow.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including programmes, RAMS, meeting minutes, progress reports and commercial records.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts and variations; support commercial decision‑making and cost control.
