The role holder will join the Business Systems Team who assist and support the implementation of transformational and operational digital projects.
You will have experience managing projects within a digital environment and ideally have experience of bringing together both technical and business experts. You’ll be a problem solver by nature with a broad set of skills gained from implementing real-world software solutions. You will have a broad set of skills covering project management and communications, as well as having a thorough technical understanding of business systems. You must have an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject area.
The post is permanent and part-time at 0.6 FTE and benefits from being eligible to the nationally supported USS pension scheme and various other employee benefit schemes including childcare and sport facilities.
This role will be located on campus at Bangor. Through our Dynamic Working framework , there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance. There is a minimum requirement to be in the Bangor office two days a week or operationally as required.
The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh is desirable for this post.

Digital Solutions and Infrastructure are responsible for providing, developing and maintaining IT facilities and services across the University, supporting staff and students. We have a good reputation within the University, providing reliable and resilient infrastructure, services, systems and facilities. The post of Project Manager is located within the Business Systems team alongside other Project Managers and a Business Analyst. The successful candidate will oversee a diverse portfolio of transformational and operational digital projects, varying in size and scale. They will work with colleagues within the department and across the University, liaising with external vendors where appropriate.
The post holder will take a leading role in the end-to-end delivery and management of digital projects across the University which will install or replace existing IT systems/infrastructure. The successful candidate will work closely with the Business Applications Support Manager, the Head of Business Systems and colleagues across Digital Solutions and Infrastructure.
The postholder will help ensure that projects are properly managed, communicated and that all the technical and administrative tasks are aligned leading to timely delivery to cost.
