Location: Bristol based with Hybrid working – 2 days on site, 3 days home

Salary: £36,068 - £46,419 per annum plus pension, private medical insurance & more.

About The Role

We are hiring for a Project Management Officer to join our expanding team supporting projects across 16 different sectors, with a focus on finance & reporting activities. Working hand in hand with project managers and engineers supporting the delivery of portfolios through the effective use of planning, reporting and analysis, risk and stakeholder management, governance and control processes.

You’ll work across a range of small to large sized projects, some very complex, some very simple. The variety of engineering oriented projects you’ll work with is a great part of the role. We work across the full lifecycle, so you’ll get the opportunity to see projects from start to finish. It could be Aerospace one day, or Space and Wind projects the next, variety is the spice of life!

What you’ll be doing

You’ll play a pivotal role supporting the successful delivery of projects and programmes, coordinating through all phases of the project lifecycle while also managing financial controls, your contributions will ensure that projects are executed efficiently and to the highest standard.

In this dynamic role, you’ll collaborate closely with programme managers and key stakeholders around the following activities:

  • Maintaining robust project control processes.
  • Financial accuracy and consistent reporting.
  • You’ll take ownership of critical administrative tasks and become a vital link between project teams and external partners.
  • Support the drive towards better data‑driven decision making processes.
  • Supporting Risk, issue, assumption and dependency management.
  • Supporting 3rd party contract management.
  • Supporting project planning activities.
  • Supporting resource planning activities.

So, what are we looking for in your application

We will prioritise applications with background in fields such as engineering, defence & related industries to our own. Specific experience we will look for in your CV would include:

  • Proven experience in a project management role.
  • Prior focus working with financial data & reporting.
  • Experience supporting project planning, risk management, reporting & governance activities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.

In terms of personal skills, we look for strong ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and manage multiple stakeholders effectively. We like to see good communication skills and keen attention to detail. Lastly, a proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and processes.
