Job description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of a Project Liaison Officer, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at client’s discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay

£24.62-£32.72 per hour

Summary

The Project Liaison Officer will act as the central point of coordination, overseeing communication procedures, ensuring high-quality resident updates, and working across multiple teams to improve the customer experience during service disruptions.

Alongside pilot responsibilities, the officer will operate as a primary interface between residents and the Council on cyclical and major works programmes managing all communications, responding to enquiries, and ensuring clear, consistent information is provided to residents, colleagues, contractors, senior managers, and elected members.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and continuously improve standardised communication procedures for emergencies such as heating failures, lift breakdowns, water interruptions, and power outages.
  • Maintain, refine, and quality-check communication templates for the out-of-hours team, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and clarity.
  • Oversee and adapt systems for issuing updates to residentsSMS, email, and phoneensuring that the right information reaches the right people at the right time.
  • Liaise with contractors to secure timely, accurate progress updates for residents.
  • Work with tenancy teams to identify vulnerable residents and ensure appropriate support during incidents.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in a similar role helpful but not essential.

  • This role requires a Basic DBS.
