About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a virtual Weight Management Service for a dynamic and inspirational Project Leader. You will be bold and proactive, developing a new team which will share the vison and aspirations of the service and your responsibilities will include :

• Supporting the daily operational and business management of the department
• Ensure the required capacity for services and that key performance targets are met
• Contract performance, reporting and budget management
• Support the development and implementation of plans for service improvement
• To deputise for the Project Manager as appropriate
• Provide operational leadership and management with overall responsibility and
• accountability for delivering project outputs and outcomes of the weight management service
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that delivery outcomes are achieved
• Ensure services are delivered and developed to provide high quality, safe and effective
• packages of support that respond to the needs of the client
• Play a key part in integrating the service into the wider behaviour change programme across the area
• Work with the Project Manager to ensure robust systems are in place in order to monitor and control expenditure across the service
• Support the development of business plans and attend training as required

About you

To be successful for the role of Project Leader, you must be / have :

• Experience of working in a health and social care environment
• Experience of delivering / managing community development / asset based programmes
• Previous project and operational management experience
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• A positive and proactive leader with the ability to motivate, engage and support delivery teams to achieve the highest standards and outcomes
• Strategic thinker and take action to deal with problems and opportunities
• Build strong relationships
• Be open and motivated by new ideas and perspective
• Have access to a car with a clean drivers licence
