Job Description
  • The CDR Project Manager will lead the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of local government Community Development and Regulation systems using platforms such as Cityworks Online PLL or Trimble Unity Permit.
  • This role requires an experienced IT professional with deep knowledge of government processes, project management methodologies, and enterprise software implementation.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Proven experience implementing and maintaining local government Community Development and Regulation systems using Cityworks Online PLL or Trimble Unity Permit.
  • Mastery of project management methodologies (PMI, Agile, Six Sigma).
  • Strong experience with project planning and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with expertise in managing customer expectations.
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills in environments with limited direct control of resources.
  • In-depth knowledge of local government processes related to land permitting, plan review, inspection, and code enforcement.
  • Ability to lead large multi-departmental teams to align CDR software with business requirements.
  • Strong research and analytical skills for exploring emerging technology options.
Experience
  • Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible IT experience.
  • 5 years of experience managing Community Development and Regulation projects.
  • 5+ years of experience in Planning and Community Development business problem-solving.

  • Experience gathering and documenting project requirements, goals, and scope.
  • Experience with Supporting Processes:
  • Deep understanding of the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Integration with calendaring and email systems for work management.
  • Correspondence and document management, including version control and retrieval.
  • Experience with mobile access, payment engines, and business intelligence tools.
