A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Project HSE Manager for a long-term HVDC Interconnector project in the North East of England. The successful candidate will lead all health, safety, and environmental activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering a strong safety culture. Candidates must have extensive HSE leadership experience and strong knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental laws.
Our client is looking for a Project HSE Manager to work on a long-term HVDC Interconnector project on a contract basis.
The Role
Leads all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management activities for the interconnector project on behalf of the Cable Contractor. The Project HSE Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and continual improvement of the project s HSE Management System in accordance with legal, contractual, and Employer requirements.
The role ensures that safe systems of work are embedded across all onshore and offshore scopes, that regulatory compliance is maintained, and that a strong safety culture is promoted throughout all levels of the project organisation and supply chain.
This role serves as the focal point for HSE planning, monitoring, and reporting across the entire project lifecycle. It includes coordination with subcontractors, interface management with other delivery packages, and engagement with marine and environmental regulators.
The role requires leadership in risk identification and mitigation, incident investigation, and the implementation of behavioural safety initiatives.
Key Duties
