Job description
The Opportunity

I am working exclusively with a leading high-end refurbishment and fit out contractor delivering one of London's most prestigious luxury projects. They are seeking an experienced Project Health & Safety Manager to oversee all HSEQ matters on Phase 3 of this landmark development - comprising the fit out of four super-luxury penthouse suites (two within a heritage building, two within a new build extension) and a high-end restaurant, all delivered to palace-level standards. This is a confidential, site-based role on a live project of international prestige - ideal for a health and safety professional experienced in luxury interiors, hospitality, or complex refurbishment environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all site-based health, safety, and environmental management activities.
  • Ensure full compliance with company HSEQ policies, UK legislation, and client standards.
  • Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, ensuring all findings are actioned.
  • Provide proactive support and guidance to the site management team and subcontractors.
  • Manage site inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for all personnel.
  • Review and approve subcontractor RAMS, method statements, and permits to work.
  • Support the project team in the development of the Construction Phase Plan and ongoing updates.
  • Monitor and report on H&S performance, near misses, and incident investigations.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, awareness, and accountability throughout the workforce.
  • Liaise with the client's H&S representatives, consultants, and enforcing authorities as required.
About You

You’ll be a hands-on and proactive safety professional who thrives in a dynamic, high-quality construction environment and takes pride in maintaining exemplary site standards.
