Job summary

International Bank in London is seeking a Project Finance Associate to support the Head of Project Finance. The role focuses on originating, executing, and managing project finance transactions across infrastructure and energy sectors in the UK and Europe.

Ideal candidate has PF transaction experience, strong credit analysis, and solid financial modelling. You will work independently to deadlines, communicate clearly with banks and sponsors, and contribute to due diligence and documentation.

Our client, an International Bank, are looking for a Project Finance Associate supporting the Head of Project Finance in London, focused on originating, executing, and managing project finance transactions across infrastructure and energy sectors in the UK and Europe.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experience in project finance within banking, funds, advisory, or corporate sponsors
• Strong skills in deal origination, execution, and credit analysis
• Solid understanding of credit risk and portfolio management
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently to deadlines
• Team-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Motivated to develop technical and market knowledge

Key Experience & Skills

• Proven PF transaction experience (origination + execution)
• Exposure to sectors such as: Renewables (e.g. wind, solar, storage, low-carbon tech), Infrastructure (e.g. transport, social infrastructure, energy links) and Digital infrastructure experience is a plus
• Strong financial modelling, cashflow analysis, and due diligence capabilities
• Experience preparing credit applications and reviewing legal/finance documentation
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Industry network (banks, sponsors, funds) advantageous
