Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in business analysis or project delivery.
  • Experience within a technology or manufacturing environment, using ASC606 accounting is a plus.

Job description

Teledyne Energetics UK is seeking a Project-Business Analyst to act as a crucial link between business needs and project delivery, ensuring that site revenue forecasting and project financials are aligned. The role combines strong analytical and communication skills to gather requirements, understand opportunities, and support successful financial outcomes. The successful candidate will require an appreciation of Business Intelligence (BI) tools to support sitewide analytics. Success in this role will be determined by the individual's ability to then focus on achieving customer on time delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Requirements gathering and analysis: working directly with the Project Managers and Procurement to understand sales and revenue projections for the business with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Management of weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings for reporting and agreeing actions on projects revenues, margins and cashflows (forecasts and actuals) to enable the site to both report and confirm its performance.
  • Communicate and negotiate with stakeholders across all levels, from technical teams to senior leadership, ensuring alignment throughout on project deliverables.
  • Assist the Project Managers with tasks including developing project plans, monitoring budgets and resource allocation, and tracking project progress.
  • Oversee project-finance period close to support the site Management Accountant in validating revenue, margins and cashflow actuals to forecasts.
  • Support BI applications across site to address business performance at daily tier meetings (DSUMs) and to agree actionable outcomes.
  • Deliver improvement projects to address production systems to improve BI reporting content and accuracy.
  • Provide business reporting on OPEX, Past due backlog, R&A, and Margin analysis and enhancements.

  • Experience within a low volume technology or manufacturing environment and using ASC606 accounting is a significant advantage.
Core Competencies
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to interpret and translate data into actionable insights.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings and present findings clearly to different audiences.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency within SAP ERP, Business Intelligence tools, and data analysis in Microsoft Excel is highly valued.
  • Experience with PowerBI and Microsoft SQL is desirable.
