Job summary

Mtx Services in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced M&E Project Engineer to lead planning, coordination and delivery of mechanical and electrical building services from design through installation, testing and commissioning. You will collaborate with project managers, design teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure projects meet safety, time, budget and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in M&E engineering or building services project delivery.
• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical installations.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of construction health and safety requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD, Revit or project planning software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical and electrical works throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review drawings, technical specifications and project documentation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor project progress, programme milestones, costs and resources.
• Coordinate site installation activities and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, building regulations and relevant industry standards.
• Monitor quality, inspect installations and support testing and commissioning activities.
• Assist with procurement, material scheduling and technical submissions.
• Prepare progress reports, risk assessments and method statements where required.
• Support handover documentation, snagging and project close-out.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced M&E Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination and delivery of mechanical and electrical building services projects from design through to installation, testing and commissioning.

The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, design teams, subcontractors, suppliers and site installation teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
