Job summary

Teamforce Labour is recruiting an experienced Project Engineer / Temporary Works Coordinator to join a major civil engineering project in Acton on a permanent basis. You will coordinate temporary works, manage the Temporary Works Register and liaise with designers, engineers and site management to ensure compliance with BS 5975 and project standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in temporary works coordination and civil site delivery.
• Knowledge of BS 5975 and temporary works procedures.
• CSCS or equivalent site safety qualification is required.
• Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.
• Relevant civil engineering qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage temporary works across the project.
• Maintain the Temporary Works Register and ensure documentation is up to date.
• Ensure temporary works are identified, designed, checked, approved and implemented.
• Liaise with Temporary Works Designers, engineers, subcontractors and site management.
• Review drawings, specs and technical information.
• Assist with RAMS, ITPs, RFIs and other project documentation.
• Provide technical support to site teams and resolve engineering issues.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure safe delivery per design.
• Carry out site inspections and ensure temporary works are installed correctly.
• Monitor quality and compliance with specs and standards.
• Support planning and sequencing of civil activities.
• Ensure Health & Safety requirements and procedures are followed.

Job description

Teamforce Labourare currently recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer / Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) to join our client on a permanent basis, working on a major civil engineering project in Acton.

The successful candidate will have a strong civil engineering background with proven site-based experience and a good understanding of temporary works procedures. You will be responsible for supporting the technical delivery of the project while coordinating temporary works in accordance with relevant standards and project procedures.

Role & Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage temporary works across the project.
• Maintain the Temporary Works Register and ensure documentation is kept up to date.
• Ensure temporary works are properly identified, designed, checked, approved and implemented.
• Liaise with Temporary Works Designers, engineers, subcontractors and site management.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Assist with the preparation and review of RAMS, ITPs, RFIs and other project documentation.
• Provide technical support to site teams and resolve engineering issues as they arise.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely and in accordance with the design.
• Carry out site inspections and ensure temporary works are installed correctly.
• Monitor quality and ensure works comply with project specifications and relevant standards.
• Support planning and sequencing of civil engineering activities.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and company procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Senior Site Engineer or similar within civil engineering.
• Previous experience carrying out Temporary Works Coordinator duties.
• Good knowledge of temporary works and BS 5975.
• Recognised TWC qualification/training.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering construction operations.
• Experience producing and reviewing technical site documentation.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Relevant civil engineering qualification preferred.
• CSCS and appropriate site management/safety qualifications.
