A leading UK university in Coventry is offering an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer-Software Developer to work on innovative projects in safe autonomy research. The successful candidate will design cutting-edge software and enhance legacy systems while collaborating with academic and industry partners. Strong modern development skills in technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, .NET/C#, Node.js, React, and Python are essential. This role is full-time with a fixed-term contract for 24 months.

You are an experienced and motivated software developer or engineer with a passion for solving complex technical problems. You have a solid foundation in modern development technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, .NET/C#, Node.js, React, and Python.
You approach challenges with a solutions‑focused mindset and have experience in collaborative, multi‑disciplinary teams. You are equally capable of working independently or with others, and take pride in delivering high‑quality, reliable software.
Your strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities make you well‑suited for a fast‑paced research and innovation environment. You're open to learning, enjoy sharing your knowledge, and are ready to contribute to impactful projects that make a difference.
