Are you a Civil Engineer with design or construction experience, looking to develop your career in a client-side position?
Do you want a varied role on a major infrastructure programme, with opportunities to broaden your engineering knowledge and progress towards railway systems?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a major UK infrastructure programme, supporting engineering assurance across structures, earthworks, highways and drainage. There are two positions available, with flexibility around your base location along the project route.
Working alongside a Senior Project Engineer, you will help ensure works within your allocated area meet the required technical standards and have the supporting evidence needed for approval and acceptance. You will combine site visits with reviewing engineering information, working closely with contractors and designers to address technical queries, assess changes and resolve compliance issues.
The role would suit someone from a contractor, consultancy or design organisation with some practical site experience and an understanding of construction quality and technical approval processes. Experience in heavy civils, highways, structures or comparable infrastructure would be relevant. Previous railway experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
Project offices and sites are located along the route, including around Aylesbury, Bicester, Buckingham, Brackley, Banbury and Southam. Your base can be discussed according to your location and the requirements of the team. Hybrid working typically involves three days across project offices and sites, including at least one site day, and two days working from home.
