We are seeking a degree-qualified Project Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical) to support and deliver capital engineering projects (£100k–£5m) that enhance site performance, safety, and sustainability.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to major CAPEX initiatives, drive technical innovation, and make a lasting impact on a world-class industrial operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning, design, and delivery of mechanical and electrical CAPEX projects from concept through to commissioning.
  • Develop detailed project documentation including scope, budgets, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Review and contribute to mechanical and electrical designs, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with standards and safety requirements.
  • Support asset improvement, reliability, and maintenance initiatives across both mechanical and electrical systems.
What We’re Looking For
  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or a related discipline).
  • Experience delivering projects within industrial, heavy engineering, or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) and health & safety compliance.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
