Job summary

Randstad CPE seeks an Electrical Project Engineer to join a major water treatment project in London. You will drive delivery of electrical works, ensure compliance with water industry standards, and act as the link between design and site operations.

The role requires a background in electrical plant installations, a relevant degree or HND, and immediate availability. AMP8 delivery experience is highly valued within a fast‑paced project environment.

Qualifications

Project Engineer

Role: Electrical Project Engineer (Water Industry)

Location: London

Rate: £400 - £480 per day LTD

Duration: 2030

Start Date: Immediate

The Opportunity

Are you ready to play a key role in the AMP8 cycle? We are seeking a high-caliber Project Engineer with either a Electrical background to join a major water treatment project in London.

This is a critical position within a high-pressure, high-reward environment. We need a specialist who understands the unique rigors of the water sector and can drive the delivery of essential infrastructure upgrades. With an immediate start available, you will be integrated into the project team to oversee complex engineering workstreams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure all works meet the stringent specifications of the water authority and environmental regulations.
  • Site Coordination: Act as the technical bridge between the design team and site operations to resolve complex engineering challenges.
  • Health & Safety: Maintain an uncompromising approach to safety, particularly regarding confined spaces and chemical environments typical of water treatment sites.
  • AMP8 Delivery: Lead and coordinate engineering activities specifically tailored to water treatment works and infrastructure.
  • Technical Management: Oversee the installation and testing of electrical power and control systems for water and wastewater treatment plants.
Requirements
  • Water Sector Experience (Essential): Deep understanding of water industry standards, ideally with previous experience in AMP6 or AMP7 cycles.
  • Background: Proven track record as a Project Engineer with an electrical plant installations backround.
  • Qualifications: Relevant Degree or HND in Engineering; CSCS and EUSR (Water Hygiene) card preferred.
  • Immediate Availability: Ability to commence work in London immediately.
