Project Engineer

Wednesbury, West Midlands

£40,000 – £45,000 per annum

About Us

We’re a UK engineering and fabrication specialist working across energy, nuclear, defence, aerospace, and environmental sectors. Business is growing — and we’re looking for a Project Engineer who thrives on variety, complexity, and delivering one-off solutions.

The Role

Lead bespoke engineering projects from concept to commissioning. No production line repeat work — every project is different. You’ll coordinate across design, fabrication, welding, and site teams, keeping projects on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.

What You’ll Do
  • Own projects end-to-end — client liaison, fabrication, installation, commissioning
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, BS EN 1090, welding standards
  • Manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risk, and scope
  • Produce and control WPS, inspection/test plans, traceability records
  • Solve technical challenges and drive continuous improvement
What You Bring
  • Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Metallurgical Engineering (or similar)
  • Heavy engineering experience — one-off/batch environments
  • Strong knowledge of welding standards & processes (ARC, MIG, TIG)
  • Hands‑on with ISO 9001 systems & technical documentation
  • Proven track record delivering unique, tailored engineering projects
Why Join Us?

You’ll work on high‑profile, technically demanding projects where quality and precision matter. Expect variety, challenge, and the chance to make a real impact in a supportive, growing team.
