Job summary

A leading UK engineering services provider seeks a Project Engineer to coordinate project planning and execution. You will manage procurement, conduct site inspections, and assist in project handover. Candidates should have a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience, particularly in the water sector. Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical or project engineering, ideally within the UK water sector.
  • Hands-on experience in delivering multi-disciplinary MEICA or similar engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with UK site safety regulations, CDM requirements, and industry standards.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth project planning, design, and execution.
  • Contribute to the development of technical specifications, drawings, and project documentation.
  • Manage procurement and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to support project delivery.

Project Engineer

We are working with a leading UK engineering services provider that delivers innovative and sustainable solutions across the water, energy, and infrastructure sectors. The company is known for its practical, low‑carbon approach and has a strong track record of successfully delivering complex multi‑disciplinary projects. Its teams provide full design, construction, and operational support across mechanical, electrical, civil, and process engineering disciplines, helping clients achieve cost‑effective and reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth project planning, design, and execution.
  • Contribute to the development of technical specifications, drawings, and project documentation.
  • Manage procurement and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to support project delivery.
  • Conduct site inspections, surveys, and progress reviews, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Assist with project handover, testing, and commissioning, ensuring documentation and safety requirements are met.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in mechanical or project engineering, ideally within the UK water sector.
  • Hands‑on experience in delivering multi‑disciplinary MEICA or similar engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with UK site safety regulations, CDM requirements, and industry standards.
  • Strong technical, organisational, and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD or similar software advantageous.
