What will you be doing?

As a Project Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering high‑quality IT infrastructure projects.

• Design, install, and configure server, storage, and network environments.
• Provide technical pre‑sales input.
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
• Combine technical consultancy, project delivery, and 3rd line support.

What will you need?

• Proven experience deploying and supporting servers, storage, and LAN/WLAN networks.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Hyper‑V, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Experience with backup and recovery systems in virtualised environments (e.g. Veeam).
• Skilled in firewall and web filter configuration and network authentication (e.g. Radius).
• Ability to produce detailed technical documentation and design proposals.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with a methodical, customer‑focused approach.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel nationally.

What would be desirable?

• Experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
• Knowledge of HPE server/storage, Aruba networking, and Smoothwall appliances.
• Understanding of SD‑WAN technologies and cloud‑integrated solutions.
• Previous experience in technical pre‑sales or consultancy.
