Role Purpose
Provide engineering and technical project support to Project Managers and site construction teams as part of the Terminal Transition programme. Translate project scopes and SOR documents into detailed deliverables and drive completion of site Management of Change documentation. Manage technical queries, support contractors in the execution of critical work scopes, and ensure safe, compliant and timely delivery of key projects to enable the transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical delivery support: support Project Managers across multi‑discipline CAPEX projects focusing on brownfield transition/modification scopes by providing technical governance and multi‑discipline engineering input.
- Own engineering documentation: manage multi‑discipline document registers through the full project life cycle and ensure contractor deliverables are met.
- Own site Management of Change (PMP) process for selected projects – manage PMP documentation to completion.
- Raise, manage and close technical queries (TQs) and RFI responses in a timely manner.
- Engage with site Discipline Engineering team; review and close detailed engineering designs and technical queries, aligning with project schedules.
- Construction support and contractor coordination: assist Project Managers and supervisors in contractor supervision, progress monitoring and ensuring scope, quality and schedule compliance.
- Develop scopes of work and RFQ documents to facilitate tendering for new work packages; review and provide technical input on tender responses.
- Attend daily/weekly site coordination meetings, issue action items and follow up to closure.
- Develop and implement construction look‑aheads; ensure field construction scopes target critical project milestones.
- Resolve emergent technical issues promptly in line with site and industry best practices.
- Quality assurance & compliance: ensure engineering work meets statutory/regulatory requirements (COMAH, DSEAR, ATEX, PUWER, COSHH, etc.) and site standards; review supplier/vendor documentation (MTRs, certificates, test reports); raise non‑conformances and support corrective actions.
- Support permit‑to‑work processes and site safety assurance for engineering activities; engage in site completions and commissioning, preparing completions documents in line with MOC requirements.
