Project Engineer – Competitive Salary & Benefits Package
Deeside days only (Mon–Fri). Gap Technical is proud to represent this global manufacturing business in their search for a Project Engineer to work at their facility based near Deeside.

Responsibilities
  • Review project objectives and define full scope of work, complete specification requirements for tender submission.
  • Complete fair tender process for project proposal and complete T&C, manage contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and prepare the project capital submission CAF, manage the budget and timeline for project implementation.
  • Prepare project timeline, manage cross‑functional stakeholders, plan appropriate window with operations manager, engineering, hygiene, technical etc.
  • Manage project risks, including schedule and project conflicts.
  • Approve designs, ensuring compliance with PUWER, DSEAR, food safety standards.
  • Review and approve RAMS before commencement of work on site.
  • Complete training to manage work on site, issue permits to work, manage high‑risk activities in accordance with legislation and company policies.
  • Prepare and complete CDM health and safety project file.
  • Induct contractors and manage health and safety whilst work undertaken on site.
  • Complete H&S audits.
  • Undertake site EHS audits of the area.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and status updates to stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly project update reports to stakeholders and stage gate progression.
  • Be responsible for successful project delivery including management of stakeholders, project team, and effective communication throughout the business.
  • The job holder is required to do all tasks considered relevant by their line manager.
Qualifications / Person Specification
  • Recognised engineering qualification (degree or equivalent)
  • Suitable safety qualifications (e.g. SMSTS, FAAW, IOSH)
  • Effective stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Exceptional analytic and problem‑solving skills, ability to quickly understand business processes and technical requirements
  • Competent with MS Office and standard engineering applications
  • Organised and methodical
  • Highly computer literate and experience of all MS packages, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
