Role

Project Engineer – Weapons Systems

Salary: Circa £50,000–£65,000 Depending on Experience

Location(s): Bristol, Bolton or Stevenage

Working: Hybrid (2–3 days on-site per week)

Classification: Due to workload, on-site presence is required

You will be responsible for the delivery, certification and integration of Command-and-Control Processing Unit hardware and associated subsystems within a cutting-edge directed energy weapon programme. The Role and Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for the hardware delivery and physical certification of complex systems and sub-systems, whilst showing an understanding for the overall product, including software.
  • Coordinate work packages for both internal and external suppliers to develop products, ensuring that cost, deadlines and technical choices are in accordance with the specifications.
  • Work closely with design authorities and suppliers, overseeing system integration activities across the full engineering lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
  • Experience delivering the processing unit, rack and infrastructure, and integrated sub systems
  • Proven project engineering experience in defence or regulated sectors
  • Strong knowledge of hardware delivery and physical certification processes
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and supplier relationships effectively
