Location: This role is based in East Sussex with ideal candidate home locations including Eastbourne, Brighton, Polegate, Hailsham, Lewes, Bexhill, Horam, Hastings, Uckfield and other local areas.

The Role

One of the UK's leading mechanical engineering, fabrication, steelwork and construction manufacturing organisations now have a career defining job opportunity for a German speaking mechanical project engineer, CAD Engineer, mechanical engineer or similar skilled professional to join the Technical Projects Division.

As an engineer tasked with managing enquiries and projects for the German market, you will be a native or fluent German language speaker and ideally have worked within a technical or construction related market before. Although your focus will be the German market place, you will be based from the regional engineering office here in Eastbourne.

Responsibilities

• Using CAD packages, design projects from quotation stages, through client reviews, revisions and development to final project approval sign off.
• Develop "problem solving" mechanical fabrication solutions within the construction, building and engineering sectors.
• Work in a busy technical projects division in East Sussex, contributing to project delivery and stakeholder communications.

Candidate Requirements / Qualifications

• Native or fluent German language skills and be based within commutable distance of Eastbourne.
• Experience level: open to recent graduates or someone with a few years in industry; or a fully fledged CAD project engineer with 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong user of CAD with experience designing mechanical fabrication (or similar) projects.
• Motivated and talented mechanically biased project engineers, project managers, CAD engineers, CAD technicians, design engineers or similar skilled mechanical engineering professionals.
• A proactive "can do" attitude to project work and ability to develop solutions based on specific and bespoke client needs.
