By joining our Power Transmission and Distribution team as a Project Engineer in our Operations / Construction Team, you’ll work with true experts who’ll share their knowledge and provide support, encouragement, and invaluable feedback so you never stop learning.

Based between Fort Augustus and the Isle of Skye on our projects, you will work on our Large Infrastructure within our Power Transmission and Distribution Projects.

What you'll be doing

As a Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and delivering engineered solutions and briefs to the working party

  • Safely and sustainably delivering activities on time, within budget, and to quality standards

  • Monitoring and recording works to ensure compliance in a timely manner

  • Supporting and developing an environment where the team can thrive and succeed

  • Managing and caring for the people delivering the work


Who we're looking for

  • HNC/HND/Degree in civil engineering or related discipline, or relevant site experience in the utilities/construction industry

  • Comfortable with ambiguity, able to address sensitive issues, and lead cross-functional teams towards solutions

  • Ability to work across conflicting interest groups to develop solutions to complex operational and commercial problems

  • People management and relationship management skills

  • Commercial awareness with knowledge of budget and financial control

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies

  • Full UK driving license

  • Willing to work away from home

We support projects from scoping and feasibility to design, construction, and maintenance with in-house expertise and innovative solutions.
