Job summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into Axiom, with a Project Engineer role based in Kendal or Blackburn. You will link Sales, Engineering, Production and Project Management, providing technical oversight to ensure designs meet high standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating technical planning, supporting tenders, reviewing designs, and producing calculations. Some travel (<20%) is required.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or a degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience with LV/MV switchgear, control panels, and electrical distribution systems.
• Strong understanding of single line diagrams, protection devices, and electrical design principles.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and produce accurate engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project technical planning and design with execution.
• Support tender submissions by ensuring technical compliance and guidance on specifications.
• Turn tenders into deliverable designs with electrical and mechanical teams and review these designs.
• Prepare project-specific design calculations.
• Act as the technical point of contact for live projects and assist with on-site delivery and commissioning.
• Assist RCA reporting with Quality team and support training/engagement.
