Overview

Project Engineer | Electrical | Control Systems | Oxford | £45,000 - £50,000pa plus exceptional benefits.

MARS Recruitment is exclusively recruiting a Project Engineer who has Electrical & Control Systems knowledge to join a world leader in the design and manufacturing of instrumentation, systems and devices. The role involves managing the delivery of a range of projects from conception through design and into manufacturing. This position suits a Project Engineer with electrical and control systems knowledge, several years of experience, who enjoys project management and liaising with customers, design and manufacturing teams to deliver a world-class product.

Our client operates a 9 day fortnight, so every other week you will get a 3 day weekend!

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of projects from conception through design and into manufacturing.
• Collaborate with customers, design teams and manufacturing teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Plan across multiple projects and tasks; manage engineering budgets and resources.
• Check and validate engineering designs; ensure compliance with drawing standards and design processes.
• Work within ISO 9001 Quality Standards and support continuous improvement.
• Ensure awareness of and adherence to Occupational Health and Safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree educated, ideally in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in managing significant projects or programmes.
• Product experience in electrical control systems; knowledge of design and build processes; familiarity with drawing and schematics standards.
• Ability to lead projects with confidence and credibility; experience in managing projects.
• Ability to plan across multiple projects and tasks; ability to prepare and manage engineering budgets.
• Knowledge of drawing standards and design processes; ability to work within ISO 9001.

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with 3D modelling and CAD packages.
• Experience using Microsoft Project or similar software.
