What you'll be doing

As Project Manager for an operational telecoms function, your primary goal is to proactively manage project status, tracking and delivering milestones against time, cost, and quality. Strong stakeholder management and communication are essential. You will ensure accurate reporting from project inception through completion for both Telecoms and customer projects.

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety legislation.

  • Analyse and coordinate programmes and workbooks to enable effective delivery within each licence area, driving maximum value from regulatory contracts.

  • Support PM2 and SPM in developing licence area business plans aligned with CI/CML, regulatory, and business objectives, optimising returns through incentive mechanisms.

  • Build and maintain robust stakeholder and customer relationships to achieve strategic objectives.

  • Escalate risks to milestone delivery promptly to minimise impact.

  • Drive continuous performance improvement through analysis of outputs and feedback.

  • Act as the primary customer contact at PM1 level during in-life projects; interface with Delivery teams for guidance.

  • Interrogate micro data and present insightful, executive-level reports to senior stakeholders.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimise project intake and prevent workaround channels.

  • Apply a proactive, solution-focused approach to problem-solving

What you'll bring
  • Proven track record in stakeholder engagement and customer service management.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills at all levels.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities using sound engineering and financial judgment.

  • Understanding of key business drivers and external commercial context.

  • Technical and operational experience in a relevant engineering leadership role within utilities.

  • Ability to devise solutions to complex challenges.

  • Proficiency with network analysis modelling tools.

Minimum Requirements
  • Engineering/Professional qualification or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience in project development.

  • Computer literacy and SAP proficiency.

  • Commercial awareness.
