Job summary

Responsibilities

• liaising with technical stakeholders as appropriate to support the following requirements:
• Designing characterisation and testing plans and experiments
• Writing technical specifications for the procurement of structural materials and related development projects using in-house or external capabilities; working with procurement partners for market route identification and progression for technical projects
• Analysing scientific data to extract engineering properties, assess degradation mechanisms and characterise material evolution

Qualifications

• Experience in materials specification development and procurement
• Experience in materials and damage characterisation
• Experience in and broad understanding of both metallic and non-metallic materials and associated applications
