I am currently working with a manufacturing company that is undergoing a period of modernisation. Following a multi‑million pound investment programme to update their equipment and facilities, they are looking for an experienced Project Engineer with capital projects. The ideal person will have the experience to co‑ordinate and control these projects in an exciting time for the site and the business as a whole, reporting to the Engineering Manager.

What you will be doing:

• Running 7 or 8 projects simultaneously on various improvement projects (project values from £30 k – £1 m).
• Planning, designing and executing each project.
• Ensuring document management and compliance for the projects.
• Ensuring safe‑working compliance for all direct and non‑direct staff.
• Writing technical specifications.
• Ensuring all work is completed within budget.

Skills & Experience:

• Proven track record of running Capital Expenditure (Capex) projects (mechanical).
• Experience of running onsite contractor management.
• Suitable qualifications in a mechanical discipline (degree/HNC).
• Health and safety qualifications (desirable).
• Computer‑literate and able to work with various software.
• Experience in the food industry would be beneficial.
