Careys is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our team delivering a major Energy from Waste project in Middlesbrough. This role offers real responsibility within a complex, technically challenging environment, working alongside experienced engineers, construction teams and project leadership.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious engineer to progress on a transformative civils & structural project that supports the UK's sustainability and energy goals.

Qualifications

• Experience on major civils, energy & infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Confident communicator who can work across multidisciplinary teams.
• HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar).
• SMSTS
• TWC

Responsibilities

• Coordinating site engineering activities and liaising with clients, designers, and subcontractors
• Managing technical compliance, setting out, and construction information
• Monitoring progress against programme, cost, and quality targets
• Supporting procurement, logistics, and material management
• Identifying and mitigating project risks
• Ensuring robust health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
