Are you a chartered engineer with a background in delivering complex infrastructure projects, with a focus on structures, civils, M&E disciplines? We are working with a client on a long-term contract opportunity in Essex. See below;

• Project Engineer
• Contract Term: Until November 2026 initially
• Location: Essex
• Job Type: Contract (3 days onsite per week)

We are seeking a Chartered Engineer with a passion for delivering complex infrastructure projects to join a major aviation programme as a Project Engineer. This role offers the chance to work on high-profile projects such as terminal extensions and airfield developments at one of the UK’s busiest airports.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Support the Project Manager during both the design and on-site phases of the project.
• Lead technical reviews and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with contractors and stakeholders to keep projects on schedule and efficiently resolve challenges.
• Utilise your expertise in civils, structures, or M&E within a live operational environment.
• Thrive in a dynamic setting, applying your experience with fit-out or transport infrastructure to make a significant impact.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Chartered Engineer status.
• Proven experience in delivering complex infrastructure projects, particularly in aviation, civils, structures, or M&E.
• Strong ability to lead technical reviews and ensure project compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with contractors and stakeholders.
• Experience in dynamic and operational environments, ideally with fit-out or transport infrastructure projects.
• Must be able to undergo CTC vetting (process starts at interview).
