Project Engineer - Rochdale - £40K-£50K + Bonus

We're recruiting on behalf of a successful engineering business based in Rochdale who are expanding across all departments and seeking a Project Engineer to join their growing team. Supplying process plants, systems and equipment to a global customer base, they deliver bespoke engineered solutions and are enjoying strong sales, a full order book, and consistent year-on-year pay increases. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of complex engineering projects from cradle to grave.

The Role

• As a Project Engineer, you\'ll oversee projects from order through to customer handover, ensuring they are delivered on time, on spec, and to the highest quality standards
• Managing projects from initial kick-off through to installation and handover
• Acting as the primary customer point of contact throughout the project lifecycle
• Liaising closely with customers, suppliers, sales, design, production, installation, and procurement teams
• Reviewing designs to ensure they meet project specifications and requirements
• Leading project kick-off meetings and coordinating internal resources
• Managing project schedules and ensuring delivery to agreed timelines
• Signing off material procurement for projects
• Organising shipping, logistics, and documentation
• Coordinating and attending Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs)
• Overseeing smooth handover and close-out of projects

The Person

• We\'re looking for someone with: Proven experience in a Project Engineer or similar project delivery role (ideally within machinery, process systems, or capital equipment)
• Strong organisational and coordination skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
