Site Project Engineer

Location: Crick, Northampton

£55,000 per year, Monday-Friday, office hours

About the Role

We are seeking a Site Project Engineer to manage and deliver minor site projects (up to £100k) safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will also support major projects externally, providing knowledge and assistance to ensure successful delivery.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of project delivery on site, while also developing your skills through training and professional development.

What You'll Do
  • Manage minor site projects from concept to handover, including scope, cost, resources, and work packages.
  • Contractor management: act as Site Host in line with the IPN Contractor Management Policy.
  • Chair project coordination meetings and maintain clear communication with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Quality Standards.
  • Monitor quality of work and materials, conducting inspections and audits to prevent rework.
  • Budget and spend management: report on site project spend, escalate exceptional costs, and ensure WBS elements are controlled.
  • Risk management: identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records, including progress reports, change orders, inspections, and submit detailed project reports to management and clients.
  • Support the development of the site project strategy, ensuring all future projects align with established methodologies.
What We're Looking For
  • Project management experience essential; Prince2 Practitioner desirable.
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations and Health & Safety best practice.
  • Proficient in MS Project and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
